The Chanquanshu schools of Taijiquan run two types of syllabus.

1. Full Syllabus
Which contains Wudang, Yang, and Modern Forms, Tui shou, San shou, Da lü, Applications, Weapons and Qinna, Health and Relaxation, and History and Philosophy.

2. Health and Relaxation Syllabus
Is the same as the Full Syllabus but excludes the martial content.

Each Chanquanshu school of Taijiquan is slightly different from the others. For while the Core Syllabus is standard each instructor is encouraged to bring his own skills and experiences to the individual school syllabus.

Core Syllabus

To be competent is Level 1. This is the Basic level and is suitable for part-time instructors.

To be proficient is Level 2. This is the Intermediate level and is suitable for professional or semi-professional instructors.

To be accomplished is Level 3. This is the Advanced level and is for professional instructors

It is possible to qualify to teach an individual routine at levels 1 and 2. However, for level 3, an instructor needs to be accomplished with solo, dual, and weapons forms.
